FOLKLOR PLAZA GARIBALDI

This intervention project for Plaza Garibaldi in Mexico City is called FOLKLOR, since according to SCRIBD "Folklore is the expression of culture in all its manifestations: crafts, popular medicine, oral stories, legends, jokes and sayings, music and dance, beliefs and superstitions, as well as certain rites and customs, among many other things. " (Monza, 2020).

Our project seeks the reactivation of Plaza Garibaldi through the folklore approach, thus creating an identity of national traditions that are expressed through urban and architectural elements. FOLKLOR expresses all the social, cultural and economic elements in a single urban landmark that seeks to be a collective heritage of the community that spends generations forming a bond of public space with the actor.

Location: Mexico City, Mexico.
