COMMUNITY CENTER
The community of Charcas located in San Luis Potosí, is made up mostly by miners and their families. By analizing the activities that they carry out on a daily basis and responding to the needs that arise from them, this community center comes up with the purpose of becoming the meeting point between realities.
The concept for this project was ¨all paths take you home¨. When two circles have a point in common and therefore belongs to both of them, they are said to be tangential. This is the geometric foundation of the project. Fluid, organic and user-friendly shapes were created for the user, which at the same time, resemble paths that take them home.
The architectural program includes a baseball field, a library, a cafeteria, multipurpose rooms, a fire pit, an audiorama, a yoga room, a gym, an amphitheater, administration offices, bathrooms and several water bodies and vegetation that create a more natural feeling of the spaces.
